James Greenwood: And now live, from the Contemporary Art Gallery in Gadigal, reporter Guy Jacobson is reporting on the reappearance of the artist, Azazel. Over to you Guy.
Guy Jacobson: Thanks James. We’re here early at the Contemporary Art Gallery at the reappearance of Azazel at the art exhibit here. Appearing at 9am after a few weeks of being missing, they’ve returned to business as usual.
We’re here with Azrah Sommers, a representative from the gallery to ask a few questions about the events.
Azrah, how does the gallery feel about the return of Azazel?
Azrah Sommers: We are incredibly excited for Azazel’s return to their residency, especially with only a few months left. With the Covid-19 lockdown due to end in Eora soon as well, it will be an incredibly exciting final 10 weeks of the exhibit.
Guy Jacobson: Clearly, the gallery has been incredibly concerned about the state of Azazel. How has this impacted the gallery.
Azrah Sommers: The gallery has been quite concerned about the state of Azazel the past few disappearances, however due to the contract signed with the gallery, we did believe they would return to finish the work.
Guy Jacobson: What can you tell us about the sate of the sculpture now?
Azrah Sommers: In the finishing stages of the artwork now, and it genuinely looks the most refined it has in all stages of the production. Every aspect of the work is heavily detailed and just gorgeous. Everyone here at the Contemporary Art Gallery is incredibly excited to see the finale of this incredible work.
Guy Jacobson: Do you think the sculpture will finish on schedule?
Azrah Sommers: Absolutely. I have no doubts that the exhibit will be finished by the new year.
Guy Jacobson: Thank you for your time Azrah.
Azazel has returned for the final time to the Contemporary Art Galley in Gadigal. The exhibit ends on the 31st of December, and with the end of the lockdown on the horizion, make sure to come see Azazel before the exhibit ends.
Back to you James.
James Greenwood: Thanks Guy…
